Feature line curb ramp slope report

Last updated: 2026-06-01

The following workflow is a way to export feature line data from Civil 3D.

If the feature line data is curb ramp data and follows the naming conventions used with Parametric Blocks - Curb Ramp Blocks and Create Feature Lines from Curb Ramp Block, then pasting that data into the following spreadsheet will report curb ramp slopes that exceed the maximum values found in FDM 11-46 Attachment 10.2 Curb Ramp Component Summary Tables

  1. Open a file in Civil 3D with curb ramp feature lines that match the naming standards in Parametric Blocks - Curb Ramp Blocks
    1. Feature lines can represent existing or design, but reporting will be simpler if all feature lines are either existing or design and not both
    2. Feature lines can be in the file or referenced from another file using Feature Line Reference Palette: On/Off
  2. Home tab > Explore panel > Project Explorer
    1. Feature lines tab
    2. A site filter can be applied
    3. Click a feature line in the table of feature lines to activate the list
    4. Ctrl+A to select all the feature lines > right-click > Copy to clipboard
  3. Download, rename, and save to a desired location: Curb ramp feature line slope report template (*.xlsx)
  4. Open the spreadsheet in Excel
    1. Paste feature line data into cell A1 in the raw-data worksheet
    2. Formatted data will be shown in the all-data worksheet
    3. Filters can be applied to show only records that are above design and exist slope maximums
