Reports - Units and Zone

Overview
This report will parse folders for .dwg files and report the following information:
- FILE: File and folder name
- SAVED BY: The last version of AutoCAD that saved the DWG file.
- DWG UNITS: Typically feet or meters
- IMPERIAL TO METRIC CONVERSION: Does the file use international foot or US survey foot for metric conversions?
- INSERTION UNITS: Specifies a drawing-units value for automatic scaling of blocks, images, or xrefs when inserted or attached to a drawing.
- LANDXML EXPORT UNITS: The units specified in exported LandXML files.
- PLOT STYLE MODE: Does the file use color-based plot tables or style-based plot tables? WisDOT standards in Civil 3D 2018 and beyond use color-based plot tables.
- SYSTEM CODE: Code version of the projection system of the file. When used, all drawings in the same project should use the same coordinate system code.
- DESCRIPTION: Full text description of the SYSTEM CODE.

SYSTEM CATEGORY: (Optional) The primary coordinate system category that the system is assigned to.
Usage
WisDOT Survey tab > Survey panel > Reports menu > Units and Zone
The report can also be accessed from the command line: DOTREPORTUNITSZONE.
- Target Folders:
- Include: Use the Add and Remove buttons to create a list of directories to include. All .dwg files found in these directories will be included in the report. Subdirectories are also included.
- Exclude: Use the Add and Remove buttons to create a list of directories to exclude. All .dwg files found in these directories will be excluded from the report. Subdirectories are also excluded.
- Report Options:
- Include System Category: Check this option to include the primary coordinate system category that the drawing coordinate system is assigned to. CAUTION: Including the coordinate system category requires significantly more processing time.
- DWG Timeout: Large file sizes or drawings with errors will increase processing time. Drawings that take longer than the selected time to query will be skipped.
- Click the folder icon to open the Save File As.. dialog.
- Create Report
- The report will auto-open in Excel.
