Points to Surface Comparison Report

Overview
This report will compare points from a point group or a point file to a surface. An .xlsx report file will be created with the point and surface comparison data. The PointData tab of the Excel file includes the individual point elevations compared to the surface elevation. In the Results tab you can adjust the tolerance values for the analysis and check the sensitivity of raising or lowering the surface elevation.

Point comparison using a point group
- In the Points to Surface Comparison Report dialog, select a surface from the menu.
- Select the Point Group radio button and select a point group from the menu.
- Click the folder icon in the Output panel to open the Save File As.. dialog.
- Browse to a file location and type a file name for the .xlsx report.
- Save
- Create Report
Point comparison using a point file
- In the Points to Surface Comparison Report dialog, select a surface from the menu.
- Select the File radio button.
- Click the folder icon in the Output panel to open the Select Point File dialog.

Select a point file.
Requirement: Point file must be PENZD format of the file type: .txt, .wsi, or .csv.
- Open
- Click the folder icon in the Output panel to open the Save File As.. dialog.
- Browse to a file location and type a file name for the .xlsx report.
- Save
- Create Report
- Select lines from the point file to include in the report. Exclude any header information lines. Use Shift or Ctrl buttons to select/deselect multiple lines.
- OK
- Once complete, the .xlsx report will open.
