WisDOT blocks

Overview
The WisDOT Civil 3D standards require custom AutoCAD blocks. WisDOT custom blocks reside in blocks component files that are included in the WisDOT Civil 3D resource files.
Warning: Altering WisDOT component files and directories may result in lost functionality. Contact CAE Support for more information.
User component files can be created and stored in C:\WisDOT\Stnd\users\Myc3d20xx\
New block requests can be directed to the WisDOT Civil 3D Futures Trello board for review and consideration.

The WisDOT blocks component files consist of AutoCAD drawings. The files are located in: C:\WisDOT\Stnd\C3D20xx\Components\Blocks and subfolders.

Using blocks
The available blocks in an active DWG can be found in the Blocks palette. This can be accessed by BLOCKSPALETTE Enter
Most WisDOT blocks can be inserted into drawings from palettes accessible from the Sheet Creation Panel.
The Block Index Tool imports a DWG block file and creates a file of printable layout grids containing representations of each block in the drawing.
