Translate a PAC file to a LandXML file

Info: Translating the PAC file is only necessary if you have not received the LandXML file. If you have received the LandXML file proceed to the next section Import the LandXML File Into the Survey Database.
Tip: Use the Ctrl or Shift key to select more than one SDMS point file to convert at a time.
- Toolspace > Toolbox tab > WisDOT Toolbox > SDMS Translators > right-click PAC, CTL translator > Execute
- Browse to 12345678/BaseData/Survey.
- Select the 12345678-wo1.pac file.
- Open
- In the Browse For Folder dialog, browse to 12345678/BaseData/Survey to select the folder for the converted LandXML file.
- OK
- In the Convert SDMS Point Files to LandXML Files dialog, verify there were no errors.

OK to exit.

Import the LandXML file into the survey database

- Ribbon > Home tab > Create Ground Data panel > Flyout > Import Survey Data.
- Specify Database:
- Name: SD-12345678
- Next
- Specify Data Source

- Data source type: LandXML File
- Selected file: Folder Icon
- Browse to 12345678/BaseData/Survey and select 12345678-wo1.XML.
- Open.
- Next
- Import Options:
- Import Settings:
- Current figure prefix database: WisDOT Topography
- Process Linework During Import: YES.
- Current Linework Code Set: WisDOT
- Insert Network Object: NO
- Insert Figure Objects: NO
- Insert Survey Points: NO
- Display Tolerance Errors: NO
- LandXML Data:
- Make sure all of the items are checkmarked
- Coordinate System: No Datum, No Projection
- Import Settings:
