Description
Subbassembly is used to insert a single or multiple surfaces between two known points. When a single surface only is inserted, used point and link codes for L1 Surface as shown in Point, Link, and Shape codes documentation.
Behavior
All pavement, base course and the subgrade surfaces are inserted between two known points with the left known point used as the attachment point and with the right edge of the topmost surface being located at the Right Marked Point. If all depth inputs are set to 0.0, a single link is inserted between the two known points and use link code L1 and the point codes P1 and P2.
Attachment & layout mode operation
The attachment is left edge point of the uppermost link. The subassembly is attached between two known points denoting top of lane at finished grade; left point is the attachment point and right point is a previously marked point. Not necessary to specify a side, the attachment is always at the left known point.
In layout mode, this subassembly displays the link(s) using the given marked points and depths.
Input parameters
Info: All dimensions are in feet unless otherwise noted. All slopes are in run-over-rise form (for example, 4:1) unless indicated as a percent slope with a "%" sign.

Pavement Depth | Depth of pavement layer measured from the top of the pavement. | Numeric, postiive | 0.5 ft. |
Base Depth | Depth to the bottom of the first base course layer; zero if the distance to the bottom of the first base course layer is equal to the Depth to Subgrade. Measured from top of the pavement. | Numeric, postiive | 1.0ft |
Subbase Depth | Depth to the bottom of the Subbase layer; zero if the distance to the bottom of the subbase layer is equal to the Depth to Subgrade. Measured from the top of the pavement. | Numeric, postiive | 1.6 ft |
Depth to Subgrade | Depth to the Subgrade surface. This depth is measured from the top of the pavement surface. | Numeric, postiive | 2.0 ft. |
