Sheet Tools - Create Typical from Assembly

Overview

This tool will create a basic typical section based on a selected assembly. The typical section is drawn based on what components of the assembly are visible. All links become Lines, and all slope labels become MText. An option to vertically exaggerate the typical section is included.

Usage

WisDOT Sheets tab > Sheet Creation panel > Sheet Tools dropdown > Create Typical from Assembly

The tool can also be accessed from the command line: DOTCREATETYPICALFROMASSEMBLY.

1. Select Assembly:
2. Enter vertical exaggeration from original <1>:
3. Enter scale for text height <10>: MText is not created as annotative. All text will be placed at 0.07" paper height, so a scale must be specified to achieve the proper height.
