Last updated: 2023-05-02
Overview
This is a new tool that creates masks behind blocks. Scenarios such as sign masks, masks for erosion control blocks, or any other blocks. When executed, the tool creates a MPolygon object behind the selected block reference(s). The MPolygon is placed on the WisDOT P_MISC_Mask layer, which is created if it does not exist. The tool also updates an existing mask if the block changes location or orientation.
Usage
WisDOT Sheets tab > Sheet Creation panel > Sheet Tools dropdown > Add/Update Block Mask
The tool can also be accessed from the command line: DOTMASKBLOCK.
This tool creates a MPolygon placed on the WisDOT P_MISC_Mask layer. This layer utilizes a color of 249, which appears in a shaded maroon in model space, light-light gray in paper space, and plots to pdf white.
The MPolygon is a separate object but is also tied to the individual block. If a block location, size, or rotation is changed, the tool will update the mask to reflect the block updates.
The MPolygon can also be deleted.
