Using layer states

  1. WisDOT Sheets tab > Plot Configuration panel > Layer States
    1. The Layer States palette can also be loaded from the command line: WIS-LAYERSTATES.
  2. Select the button for the desired layer state from the palette
    1. This loads the layer state into the active drawing, applies the layer state to the drawing layers and then applies it to the corresponding XRef layers. Finally, the layer state is saved to include the XRef layers.

Tip:

The Layer States dropdown can also be utilized to select between pre-defined layer states that have been loaded into the drawing.

If the layer states do not accomplish the desired plot output, manually update the layer colors for the objects being plotted utilizing the Layer Properties Manager or Convert Layer Colors .
