DWG - Assign Coordinate System - Multiple dwgs

Overview

To assign a coordinate system to multiple drawings at once rather than having to open each drawing individually, use the Map 3D Assign Global Coordinate System function.

Using Assign Coordinate System - Multiple dwgs

Ribbon > WisDOT [***] tab > WisDOT Manage panel > Dwg dropdown > Set Coordinate System - Multiple dwgs

The Map 3D Assign Global Coordinate System function can also be accessed from the command line: ADESETCRDSYS.

To assign a coordinate system to the current drawing

  1. Select Coordinate System... under the Current Drawing section.
  2. Select a coordinate system. Use the filters or search box to narrow the list.
  3. Select

To assign a coordinate system to multiple drawings

Requirement: The target drawings must not be open.

  1. Select Drawings... under the Current Drawing section.
  2. Browse to a file.
  3. Add
  4. Repeat for multiple files.
  5. When done adding files OK
  6. Select Coordinate System... under the Source Drawings section.
  7. Select a coordinate system. Use the filters or search box to narrow the list.
  8. Select
  9. OK
