Overview
This tool assists users with their transition from the previous WisDOT Civil 3D production version.
Example: Civil 3D 2022 transition to Civil 3D 2024.
The tool migrates the following:
- Command line registry
- Drawing window registry
- Toolbars registry
- My places registry
- Select user system variables (WisDOT devices only)
- Contents of C:\WisDOT\Stnd\users\Myc3d20XX
- Palettes
- Action macro recordings
- Assembly files
- Block files
- Publish Collections
Usage
Migrate User Settings is accessed only by the command line: DOTMigrateUserSettings.
- At the command line, select one of the following options:
- Command line migrates the previous version Command Line Windows registry to the current version.
- Drawing window migrates the previous version Drawing Window registry to the current version.
- Toolbars migrates the previous version Toolbars registry to the current version.
- Places migrates the previous version Dialogs\AllAnavDialogs registry to the current version.
- Variables applies the last saved user system variable settings from the previous version. This option is only applicable to WisDOT devices running a WisDOT profile.
- Myc3d copies all files under C:\WisDOT\Stnd\users\Myc3d previous version to C:\WisDOT\Stnd\users\Myc3d current version
- Updates all Publish collections Publish.scr, Publish.bat, and BatchPublish.dll files to the current version.
In all palette ATC files, replaces all "C:\WisDOT\Stnd\users\Myc3d20 current version with C:\WisDOT\Stnd\users\Myc3d previous version.
Warning: If a scheduled task was set up to run the Publish.bat, be sure to update the task for the new Publish Collection path.
