Last updated: 2023-09-07
Overview
This command adds a corridor entity to a surface definition as a breakline. The breakline is in the form of a siteless feature line that is tied to a corridor surface elevation.
Using the Command
-
WisDOT Design tab > Design panel > Surfaces dropdown > Add Corridor Entity as Breakline
The tool can also be accessed from the command line: DOTADDCORRIDORENTITYASBREAKLINE
- Select Surface: Select the surface to add the breakline to.
- Select Corridor entity: Select a corridor link or feature line segment to add to the surface definition as a breakline.
- The resulting feature line will appear in the Toolspace > Prospector under the siteless Feature Lines. The name will be "BreaklineFromCrdrEntity<[next counter]>"
- The corridor object must be in the drawing or data referenced into the drawing.
- The surface will automatically update once the corridor entity is selected.
- If a corridor surface is in the drawing and is a child of the source corridor, the resulting feature line vertices will be tied to the surface elevation.
- If the breakline is no longer desired in the surface definition, the feature line may be deleted. Then, rebuild the surface.
- Repeat step B to additional corridor entities to the surface definition.
- Enter or ESC to exit the command.
