Lines - Free Line

Overview

Creates a Line that is tangent to two selected Arcs or Circles. A preview of all possible tangent lines is displayed for the user to select from.

Usage

WisDOT Design tab> Draw panel > Lines dropdown > Free Line

The tool can also be accessed from the command line: DOTDRAWFREELINE.

1. Select first arc or circle: Select an arc or circle to draw a line tangent from.
2. Select second arc or circle: Select an arc or circle to draw a line tangent to.
3. Select desired line: All possible lines will be displayed. Select the line that is desired.
