Corridor - Create Corridor Surfaces

Last updated: 2024-01-29

Overview

This tool will create corridor surfaces for a selected corridor. To define the the surfaces to be created, (if different than default) a .csv must be created for the Civil 3D Project and corridor file. The default .csv contains information to create Top and Datum Corridor Surfaces. The feature line codes are standard point codes used in Autodesk and WisDOT subassemblies that participate in the definition of Top and Datum surfaces. The feature line codes and link codes can be modified for custom point codes or for design-only surfaces by editing the CSV. Surface names and styles are preset to default values.

The default .csv file is included with the WisDOT Civil 3D configuration and stored in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\WisDOTxxxxA.bundle\Contents\Windows\20xx\en-US\CreateCrdrSurfs.csv

It is also hosted here: CreateCrdrSurfaces.csv

The recommended best practice is to create a copy of the .csv and save it in Civil 3D ..\Design\Corridors near the Corridor drawing for future custom use.

CSV Description

    • Create?: x = yes or Blank = no

  • Column B
