Overview

The WisDOT Earthwork app creates detail and summary earthwork reports from Civil 3D Quantity Reports.

Using Earthwork

WisDOT Civil 3D Apps desktop shortcut > Earthwork tab

1. Double-click the WisDOT Civil 3D Apps shortcut on the Desktop.

   

2. Select the Earthwork tab.
3. Select the Settings tab in the Earthwork tab.
4. Use the Close Excel button to close any instances of Excel that might be running prior to creating the report.
5. Set Expansion Factors by Material Type values prior to creating the report.

6. Select any Mass Ordinate Equation Considerations prior to creating the report.

   

7. Select the Details tab in the Earthwork tab.
8. First, use the Add... and Remove... buttons to add or remove Civil 3D Quantities Reports (*.xml) in the list window.
9. Second, use the Browse button to create an output Filename and select a save location.

10. Create Report to create an Earthwork Detail Report (*.xlsx).

    

11. Select the Summary tab in the Earthwork tab.
12. Select one Default Summary Sheet Divisions type.
13. Use the Browse button to open a previously created Earthwork Detail Report (*.xlsx).

14. Create Report to add an Earthwork Summary tab to the selected Earthwork Detail Report.
