Two ways to access surface styles
Contextual Ribbon
- Click on surface to select
- Context Ribbon > Modify panel > click Surface Properties

- Information tab > Surface style dropdown and select styleClick Apply to view the surface selected before clicking OK.

- Click on surface to select
- Toolspace > Prospector tab > expand Surfaces > right-click Exist > Surface Properties...

- Information tab > Surface style dropdown and select style Click Apply to view the surface selected before clicking OK.

Copy a surface style
Warning: Do not use Edit Surface Style option for WisDOT projects. This will cause conflicts with the currently assigned style from the WisDOT template file, which should remain as standards. Copy the style and edit the copy instead.
- Click on surface to select
- Context Ribbon > Modify panel > click Surface Properties

- Information tab > Surface style dropdown: P Contours 5' Major:1' Minor

select Edit icon dropdown > Copy Current SelectionCopy will take ALL of the settings from selected surface style.

- Information tab > Name: P Contours 5' Major
- Display tab > Minor Contours: turn off (lightbulb)
- Display tab > Major Contours: change color to green
- OK
