Build a surface

  1. Ribbon > Home tab > Create Ground Data panel > Surfaces dropdown > Create Surface
  2. Create Surface dialog box
    1. Properties box
      1. Name: Exist
      2. Style: EX Contour 10' Major:2' MinorOK
    2. OK
  3. Toolspace > Prospector tab > expand Surfaces > expand Exist (surface file) > expand Definition > right-click Point Files > Add...
    1. Add Point File dialog box
      1. Select File: Browse > EXIST.pnt > Open
      2. Specify point file format: PENZ (space delimited)
      3. OK
  4. Toolspace > Prospector tab > expand Surfaces > expand Exist (surface file) > expand Definition > right-click Breaklines > Add...
    1. Add Breaklines dialog box
      1. Type: From file
      2. File link option: Break link to file
      3. OK

    2. Import Breakline File > EXIST.flt > Open
