Open drawing file
- Quick Access > Open
- Open File dialog box
- Look in: browse to folder dataset is saved.
- Select AliProf-CtyE-prfl-prprtis-begin.dwg
- Open
Change profile style from surface profile (existing)
- Left-click surface profile in profile view.
- Contextual ribbon > Home tab > Modify panel > select Profile Properties
- Profile Properties dialog box
- Information tab
- Object style: dropdown, select PROF Proposed
- Apply
- OK

- ESC to end command
Info: The line is solid green line.
- Left-click surface profile.

- Name: This is where you can change the name.
- Description: This is where a short description can be entered.
- Object style: dropdown, dropdown, contains several WisDOT templates.

- Profile data tab contains a window with vital stats about the profile.
- Parent horizontal alignment contains the name of the parent alignment and its start and end stations.

- Design Criteria tab
- Check box Use criteria-based design.
- Use design criteria file box is checked.
- Left-click ... to browse
- Select Design Speed Table dialog box
- Look in: dropdown, browse to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2020\enu\Data\Corridor Design Standards\Imperial
- File name: select WisDOT Design Criteria 2009.xml
- Open
- Default criteria table will populate. Keep Value as WisDOT Standard - Desirable Category 1
- Use design check set is checked. Keep as Standard.

- Profile Locking tab
Profile locking allows you to control the profile information, in case the alignment length or geometry changes.
- Anchor profile geometry points to alignment points radial - As the alignment gets longer, so does the profile and proposed profile. Everything is connected.
- Modify affected entities radial
- Notify which entities are affected check box - Yellow exclamation bubbles appear at locations that are affected, allowing you to modify.
- Delete affected entities radial - This allows you to redesign yourself.
