Prepare sheet
Exercise data: plat-creat-sht-data-begin-c3d20.zip
- Remove L&I table with Erase command
- Select table
- Home tab > Modify panel > Erase
- Data shortcut centerline alignments
- Verify working folder is in correct location.
- Toolspace > Prospector tab > right-click Data Shortcuts > Set Working Folder...
- Browse For Folder dialog box
- Browse to WisDOT\Design\c3d
- OK
- Toolspace > Prospector tab > right-click Data Shortcuts > Set Data Shortcuts Project Folder...
- Set Data Shortcuts Folder dialog box
- Check box next to current project number
- OK
- Toolspace > Prospector tab > expand Data Shortcuts > expand Alignments > expand Centerline Alignments > right-click CTH T-ExistROWRefLine > Create Reference...
- No changes and select OK
- Toolspace > Prospector tab > expand Data Shortcuts > expand Alignments > expand Centerline Alignments > right-click STH64-ExistROWRefLine > Create Reference...
- No changes and select OK
- Verify working folder is in correct location.
- Promote centerline alignments
- Toolspace > Prospctor tab > expand Alignments > expand Centerline Alignments > right-click CTH T-ExistROWRefLine > Promote
- Toolspace > Prospctor tab > expand Alignments > expand Centerline Alignments > right-click STH64-ExistROWRefLine > Promote
Create view frames
- Setup View Boundary using output tools
- Output tab > Plan Production panel > launch Create View Frames command
- Create View Frames - Alignment wizard
- Alignment page
- Alignment: dropdown and select STH64-ProposedROWRefLine
- Station Range: Automatic
- Next
- Sheets page
- Sheet Setting: Plan(s) only
- Template for Plan sheet: Select ellipsis (...)
- Select Layout as Sheet Template dialog box
- Drawing template file name: Select ellipsis (...)
- Look in: WisDOT...\Templates\Sheets folder
Scroll and select 04-TPP34-wdot18.dwt
Tip: WisDOT plat sheets templates start with "04-TPP", then a measurement. If there is a "R" next, that means the sheet was rotated 90 degrees.
- Open
- Select a layout to create new sheets: select TPP 34 1 IN 200 FT
- OK
- Drawing template file name: Select ellipsis (...)
- Select Layout as Sheet Template dialog box
- View Frame Placement: select Along alignment
- Next
- View Frame Group page
- Name: add 0401 and remove brackets so it reads, VF - 0401<|Next Counter(CP)|>
- Select Name Template icon
- Incremental number format > Style: 1,2,3...
- Starting number: 1
- Incremental value: 1
- OK
- Next
- Match Lines page
- Uncheck Insert match line, since this is a single sheet
- Create View Frames
- Zoom out
- View frame should have label: VF - 04011, the last "1" is supplied by the counter in the name template.

Create plat sheets

Output tab > Plan Production panel > Create Sheets command
- Create Sheets - View Frame Group and Layouts wizard

- View Frame Group: VFG - STH64-ProposedROWRefLine - (1)
- Layout Creation:
Number of layouts per raw drawing: 1, since there is only a single sheet.
Tip: This number can be increased for larger plans set with more collaborators.
- Layout Name: add 0401 and remove brackets so it reads, 0401<|Next Counter(CP)|>
- Select Name Template icon
- Incremental number format > Style: 01,02,03...
- Starting number: 1
- Incremental value: 1
- OK
- Choose the north arrow block to align in layouts: GN
- Next
Sheets Set page
- Sheet Set
- Select Add to existing sheet set
- Select ellipsis (...)
- Browse the sheet set file dialog box
- Look in: 12345678\SheetsPlan\planproduction.dst
- Open
- Sheets
- Sheet files storage location: Select ellipsis (...)
- Browse for Folder
- Select Project folder 12345678\RW\DWG
- Open
- OK
- Browse for Folder
Sheet file name: 12345678 - 0401<|next Counter|>-rp
Requirement: The naming convention is found at FDM15-5 attachment 3.3
- Select Name Template icon
- Incremental number format > Style: 01,02,03...

Printing plats
- From Sheet Set Manager
- Single plat sheet
- right-click layout name, 1 - 040101 > Publish > Publish to PDF
- Several plat sheets
right-click subset heading > Publish > Publish to PDF
- Single plat sheet
Info: If you have several subsets and plats sheets, right-click the sheet set name. Sheets will publish in the same order as they are in the sheet set.
