Editing individual points

  1. Select a point
  2. Right-click > Edit Points…

Point styles

  1. Point Editor Panorama
    1. Style column
      1. Left-click Style field
  2. Select Point Style dialog box
    1. Dropdown to select style
    2. OK

Point label style

  1. Point Editor Panorama
    1. Point Label Style column
      1. Left-click Point Label Style field
  2. Select Label Style dialog box
    1. Dropdown to select style
    2. OK

Point layer

  1. Point Editor Panorama
    1. Point Layer column
      1. Left-click Point Layer field
  2. Layer Selection dialog box
    1. Select existing layer
    2. New... to create a layer not available in existing list.
    3. OK

Info: The Description Key Set may assign a style, label style, and layer into these fields during creation or import.

Description key set

Raw Description is what the surveyor or point creator entered for the description field.

Full Description is what that description is after the description key has filtered through it.

  1. Toolspace > Settings tab > Point > Description Keys Sets > right-click WisDOT Topography… > Edit Keys…

Point style or label style

  1. Point Groups > right-click Surface Points > Properties…
  2. Point Group Properties - Surface Points dialog box
    1. Information tab
      1. Default Styles area
        1. Point style dropdown
        2. Point label style dropdown
  3. OK

Tip: The Description Keys assigned to a point will prevent a point group from assigning styles or label styles. For the point group to take back control from the Description Key.

  1. Point Groups > right-click Surface Points > Properties…
  2. Point Group Properties - Surface Points dialog box
    1. Overrides tab
      1. Style: checked
      2. Point Label Style: checked
  3. OK
