Create a grading area

  1. Open model with a building
  2. Ribbon > Create tab > Environment panel dropdown > select Grading Area
  3. Select Draw Style dialog box
    1. Select Tall Grass
  4. Draw a shape around building, double-click to close
  5. Select area and edit
    1. Use pink square grip to adjust area horizontally
    2. Use cyan cone grip to adjust area vertically
  • Alt + left-click to add vertex
  • Shift + left-click to remove vertex

Add 3-to-1 cut slope style

  1. Select grading area
  2. Grading Area Properties data card > Manual Grading > More Styles
  3. Select Grading Style dialog box
    1. Select Grass Cut, Fill
    2. OK

Add retaining wall style

  1. Select grading area
  2. Grading Area Properties data card > Manual Grading > More Styles
  3. Select Grading Style dialog box
  4. Select Rock Wall Cut, Grass Fill

Modify styles

  1. Ribbon > Manage tab > Content panel > select Style Palette
  2. Style Palette > Grading tab
    1. Select Rock Wall Cut, Grass Fill
    2. Style Editing > select Duplicate
    3. Rename the new style to Rock Wall Cut, 6:1
    4. Select the new style Rock Wall Cut, 6:1
    5. Style Editing > select Edit (pencil)
    6. Configure dialog box
      1. Fill Slope: 6:1
      2. Fill Material: Pick a Style/Color icon > select Gravel OK
      3. OK
  3. Select style Rock Wall Cut, 6:1 and drag to grading area
