Data setup and create obstruction wall surfaces

Add wall surface to treeline
- WisDOT Design tab > Design panel > Surfaces pulldown > Create Wall Surface
- Select Feature Line, Survey Feature, or 3D Polyline: Left-click feature line that is the treeline.
- Pick side to offset: Left-click on the side to offset.
- Enter height: 30 Enter
- View in object viewer
- Left-click on feature line
- Contextual ribbon > General Tools panel > Object Viewer
- Left-click and drag to rotate and view wall surface.
- Esc to end.
Add wall surface to beam guard
- WisDOT Design tab > Design panel > Surfaces pulldown > Create Wall Surface
- Select Feature Line, Survey Feature, or 3D Polyline: Left-click feature line representing the beam guard.
- Pick side to offset: Left-click inside
- Enter height: 2.3125 Enter
- View in object viewer
Add wall surface to proposed building
- WisDOT Design tab > Design panel > Surfaces pulldown > Create Wall Surface
- Select Feature Line, Survey Feature, or 3D Polyline: Left-click feature line representing the proposed building.
- Pick side to offset: Left-click inside
- Enter height: 20 Enter
- View in object viewer
Check intersection sight distance, analyze results

Info: Corridor top surface and existing ground surface are combined into one surface called Crdr-Ex-Top.
Run site distance analysis tool, secondary roadway looking left
- Ribbon > WisDOT Design tab > Analyze panel > Visibility Check dropdown > Check Intersection Sight Distance
- Intersection Sight Distance dialog box
- Left-click Decision Point select from screen button
- Pick decision point (eye) location: Shift + right-click > Intersection OSnap > Left-click near intersecting lines, where secondary roadway meets main roadway.
- Left-click Vehicle Path select from screen button
- Select target path (Polyline) in check direction: Left-click centerline of left lane, to the left of the intersection.
- Both Decision Point and Visible Point have green check marks to indicate a successful selection.
- Eye Height (ft): 3.5 (car)
- Sight Distance (ft): type 710
- Surfaces > Terrain Surface: Crdr-Ex-Top
- Surfaces > Obstruction Surfaces: Select Wall1, Wall2, and Wall3
- OK
- Left-click Decision Point select from screen button
- Impaired vision due to treeline.
- View in 3D
- Ribbon > View tab > Named Views panel > Name View dropdown > 3D
- Shift + mouse wheel button, to orbit and move and view site distance analysis.
- Return to the top view
- Ribbon > View tab > Named Views panel > Name View dropdown > Top
- Hide current site analysis
- Left-click on site analysis
- Right-click menu > Isolate Objects > Hide Selected Objects
Run site distance analysis tool, south driveway looking left
- Intersection Sight Distance dialog box
- Left-click Decision Point select from screen button
- Pick decision point (eye) location: Left-click a point where driveway meets roadway.
- Keep everything else the same.
- OK
- Left-click Decision Point select from screen button
- Impaired vision due to proposed building.
