ConvertLayerColor defects/enhancements

The following defects and enhancements have been addressed:

- Tool ceases to operate when using the layer filter options.

- Improved performance by removing the AddAllStyles command from the tool startup.

- Add a button to load all WisDOT components so layer states work correctly.

- Improve messaging to users know to load all WisDOT components to use provided layer states.

- Span message window to full tool width.

- Set default selections

- Add button to open the Layer States Manager.

Utility queries in C:\WisDOT\Stnd\SD2018Template incorrectly use the operator "Contains".

Edited Utility queries to use the operator "Starts With". Updated survey database files.

Some parcel UDPs missing from plat-wisdot18.dwt.

Added missing parcel UDPs to plat-wisdot18.dwt.

Add 15 FT spacing linetypes and layers for Drums, DrumsLights, and FlexTubMark per SDD 15D21-a.

Enhance display of "CRDR Proposed" Shape Style in Section Views.

Pipe tables are not sorted properly.

The pipe reports include pipes and structures in the report output that do not have a bid item assignment.

Text and number formatting is not correct when using the Structures Only report.

Pipe report output uses incorrect font and font size.

Set all pipe report types to sort by column "A".

Pipe reports no longer include pipes and structure in the report output if they do not have bid items assigned.

Corrected formatting of numbers and text in Structures Only report.

Construction Details Speed Sheet template annotation scale setting is incorrect.

Users are not certain what this template should be used for (2D or 3D).

Set annotation scale to 1 IN:10 FT.

Added note to the template warning message in Model Space to only use this template for 2D Construction Details.

Convert acad.lsp into a VLX file to ensure that the WisDOT configuration does not disrupt consultant configurations that use the acad.lsp function.

Converted the acad.lsp file in the 2018 bundle to wis-22-1_deploy.vlx and removed the acad.lsp file from the bundle.

When plotting the Traditional RW Plat Sheet layouts (Palettes > Non-TPP), the layouts plot at an incorrect size of 11"x17". The correct plot size for all RW Plats should be 22"x34".

Corrected all layouts in 04-PLAT-wdot.dwt to be 22"x34", not 11"x17".

WisDOT Reports with errors

Reports code has been modernized. Various bug fixes and improvements have been addressed.

All WisDOT Reports moved back to the Toolbox.

Moved SOE Import to Design ribbon tab – Design Utilities fly-out.

Moved Block Index to Sheets ribbon tab – Sheet Utilities fly-out.

Moved Import Description Keys to Manage panel fly-out.

Set Coordinate System tool retired. Use Autodesk ADESETCRDSYS command. Button provided on the WisDOT ribbon tabs - Manage panel fly-out.

Topsoil report retired.

Earthwork report moved to WisDOT Civil 3D Apps.exe.

WisDOT Custom Civil 3D Reports needed updating.

General improvements

• Reports moved from the WisDOT Tools ribbon to the Toolbox. They are now found under the WisDOT Toolbox – Reports heading.

Alignment Description Report

• Now reports on more than one alignment at a time.

• Added tangency check at PC and PT locations.

• Added station equation summary to front of report.

Topsoil Report

• Retired. Topsoil can be computed with various workflows. One suggested workflow can be found here.

Earthwork Report

• The Earthwork report is now accessed from WisDOT Civil 3d Apps.exe and run independent of Civil 3D and Civil 3D versions.
• General report formatting improvements.
• Fixed rounding issue where the totals summed values at a different precision than what was displayed.
• Replaced the existing note 15 on the summary spreadsheet.
Text removed: “(15) USE ???? CY OF MATERIAL FROM DIVISION ?. BORROW EXCAVATION ITEM NUMBER 208.0100”

WisDOT Civil 3D Apps

• A custom *.lnk file can be created so WisDOT Civil 3D Apps opens to a default tab by adding a forward slash and the tab name after the target. Example: "C:\Wisdot\Stnd\Apps\WisDOT Civil 3D Apps.exe" /earthwork

WisDOT custom linetypes that include text elements should display object oriented even if not always plan readable.

Linetype definition code changed from U=0.0 to R=0.0 on all custom linetypes that include a text element.

Update the linetype for Saw Cut lines (EsawX).

Updated linetype from True Scale linetype to Annotative linetype

Make north arrow insert behavior consistent across sheet palettes.

Rotation prompt setting has been turned off for the north arrows on the sheet palettes.

Typical Section C&G blocks updates

Typical Section C&G blocks that were missing the flip parameter were corrected. Also, the C&G blocks have been updated so the existing visibility states are set to ByLayer for linetype. The rest of the DWG has been reviewed and updated for consistency among blocks. Annotation settings have been corrected. Block usage and definition has been corrected.

"Communication Vault" block was scaled 2x relative to the insertion point.

"Control Cabinet" block was scaled 2x relative to the insertion point.

"Circular Indicator" block received updated layers for the hatch areas.

"Monotube - Type 10 Base" block corrected visibility states with extra objects.

"Monotube - Type 10 Base" block actions for the 12' base visibility state were corrected.

"Monotube - Type 10 Base" block added block rotation grip.

"Signal Heads and Poles" block corrected to show the hatch on the "Proposed Signal Head and Pole" visibility state.

"Signal Heads and Poles" block added a block rotation grip.

Updates needed to the Type III Barricade blocks.

Added R11-2B (Bridge Out) and R11-3B (Bridge Out X Miles Ahead) visibility states to the Type III Barricade blocks.

Update sign blocks per WisDOT sign plate update dated 7/2/2019.

Sign blocks were added, updated, and/or removed from the sign block DWGs and the sign tool palettes to reflect the changes in the update.

Sight Distance Profile XSL: Add automated sort function.

Added a sort function to the XSL style sheet so the stationing is always in ascending order.

Drawing settings abbreviations for "left" or "right" need to be corrected.

Stopping Sight Distance training is being created for the C3DKB. Additional styles and objects are needed.

Template updates, additional components, and a palette for Stopping Sight Distance analysis workflow.

Section View Crossing Labels Styles show object description numbers in the label text. The numbers are not wanted.

Added Section View Crossing Labels Styles that have the utility text hard-coded and added styles that can use the description in the object's properties.

If the total width of multiple sample lines on a section view group exceeds the total width of the section view group, the section views will be grouped into as many section view groups as needed to display the section view. This can result in only one section shown per each sheet. This is unwanted behavior.

Added a right-aligned section view group plot style - "By Page (Bottom to Top) Right-aligned".

1 IN: 5 FT layout scale needed in XS sheet template per FDM.

Added a 1 IN: 5 FT layout scale to XS sheet template.

User request to create 0.5' major contour/0.1' minor contour surface style.

Created Existing and Proposed surface contour styles with major contour intervals at 0.5' and minors at 0.1'.

Multileader styles and Dimension styles text is not consistent.

Updated Multileader styles and Dimension styles to use the same text styles.

Update Quantities sheet template to match FDM.

Renamed the layout in Misc Quantities sheet to match FDM naming standards. Updated palette to find new layout name.

On the Title Sheet survey block there is a gap that is created between the "County" attribute and word "County".

Updated Title Sheet template and title sheet blocks to allow space for the county name before the word "County".

CGBasic does not read the terrace width correctly.

Fixed the CGBasic subassembly to read the target terrace width correctly.

Profile View Style and Data Band Style revisions needed.

The WisDOT Mass Ordinate style in design-wisdot18.dwt needs to be updated to account for scenarios with subgrade improvement and EBS.

The Earthwork Report needs to be updated to account for scenarios with subgrade improvement and EBS. Output needs to be all uppercase.

Updated Earthwork Report - "EBS" area column calculation is now EBS – EBSSubgradeImprovement and changed all text to UPPERCASE.

New Point Style and Label Styles needed for new intersection workflow.

Added "Intersection - Description" Note Label. Updated the "Pnt Number Circled" Point Label Style. Added new point style - "WisDOT Standard Radius Pt".

New Point Table Style for new intersection workflow.

Added a new Point Table Style for intersections and added UDPs to templates.

The skew component in the Plan Profile pipe label styles does not appear to be working correctly.

Fixed skew components in Pipe > Label Styles > Plan Profile.

WisDOT-SightDistanceProfile.xsl got changed to an XML file instead of XSL file.

Changed file extension of WisDOT-SightDistanceProfile.xml to XSL.

The Shoulder Return Fillet (SRF) assembly needs the parameter references set.

Set default Parameter References in the Shoulder Return Fillet assembly.

Command setting for Create Sheets, sheet creation is set to "All layouts in one new drawing", which is rarely used.

Set command setting for Create Sheets, sheet creation to "All layouts in current drawing".

When running the Swap Parts tool, the selection set remains selected after the swap is complete.

Updated the Swap Parts tool to clear the selection set after the part swaps.

WisDOT plot style changes made when moving from 2016 to 2018 caused Point Tables to plot gray instead of black.

Fixed Point Table Styles so objects plot black instead of gray.

There is some unwanted text and incorrect unit precision settings in the Point Table Styles.

Fixed Point Table Styles text issues and unit precision.

There are some issues with using the Typical Section title Multileaders in Title Sheets.

Replaced "Existing Typical Section" and "Proposed Typical Section" multileaders with blocks.

Unnecessary "PLAN" text in title blocks of some sheet templates.

Removed the text "PLAN" from Plan Sheets title field.

Feature line markers display at different scales in the Corridor Section Editor.

Updated and modified Feature Line Crossing Markers and Marker Styles to scale appropriately in the Corridor Section Editor.

Need method to plot existing utility lines black, so lines clearly show up on top of aerial image backgrounds.

Created new Layer State to plot existing utility lines all black and added it to Layer State palette.

The sign block attribute text does not rotate when using the Rotate Mleader, Mtext & Blocks to Vport tool.

Updated "Rotate Mleader, Mtext & Blocks to Vport" tool so text attributes in a block also rotate. Fixed block selection issues.

"Loop Detector" block only shows one type. There are two types.

Separated "Loop Detector" block into 2 blocks - "Loop Detector Pull - Box" and "Loop Detector - No Pull Box".

User request to create blocks for new monotube types.

Added two Monotube blocks to the Traffic Signal Plan palette.

Modify TypicalSpeedSheet18.dwg to use as the source for the different blocks on the tabs of the Typical Section Palette Group.

Updated Typical Section DWG, DWT, and Typical Section palette.

Fix annotative text issues in Plat Legend blocks.

WisDOT Civil 3D Apps "File Maintenance" tab is confusing due to multiple unrelated functions. Need more functionality for cleaning Civil 3D project directories prior to archival.

"Cleanup" replaces the old "Remove Extraneous Project Files" and includes enhancements for removing specific file types and user-defined file types with more control over targeted directories. All code converted to C#.

Users get an error message when importing a SRV that consists of only points. The error message says the PNT or FLT file is empty and this is likely due to the SRV being a UNIX format.

Revised SRV to POINT app error messages about PNT and FLT files to be more specific about the various issues.

Rename "[Ver.2]" alignment station offset label styles to FDM plan sheet proposed version names.

Renamed label styles by adding a descriptor to the end of the label instead of "[Ver. 2]" text.

Add rotation enhancements to flow arrow block (ECWFA).

Added rotation grip to flow arrow block (ECWFA).

Edited palette tool settings for EC Flow Arrow block and Surface Water Flow Arrow block to prompt for rotation upon insertion.

Add a new Typical Section Speed Sheet template with exaggerated vertical features.

Create two new palettes: "TS Speed Sheet" palette & "TS Exaggerated Vertical Speed Sheet" palette.

Organized existing Typical Section palettes and created two new palettes: "TS Speed Sheet" palette & "TS Exaggerated Vertical Speed Sheet" palette.

Topsoil report not working correctly. Issues with using polylines and alignments, especially when coincident to a surface edge boundary.

Updated the Topsoil Report to work with 2D & 3D polylines and all types of alignments except offset alignments that have widening. Fixed issues when an alignment or polyline is coincident to a surface edge.

Future enhancements will include recognizing widening sections in an offset alignment.

Superelevation Table:

• Repaired issue where the right lane and right shoulder column headings were switched.

Convert Layer Colors:

• New tool to switch multiple layers' colors between standard index, standard RGB, and user defined.

• Option to apply layer state.

• Option to save layer state.

WisDOT Annotate:

• Repaired issue with style preview display.

• Now limits display of styles and sizes to only what is standard.

Import Station Offset Elevation:

• New option to read a description column from input file and assign it to Raw Description so description keys can be applied after import.

• Description input field now marked "Optional".

• When browsing for an input file, it now filters to show all .soe, .sod, .txt, and .csv files at the same time

Multipage Setup:

• Tool now automatically runs REGENALL after applying page setups.

• Tool now automatically refreshes the UI to show the applied setups on the palette.

Point Station/Offset to UDP:

• Clear Station-Offset Properties can now be applied to a specific point group.

• Resolved issue where incorrect station/offset reported for alignments that include a curve or more than one tangent.

• Create point group table now clears after creating the point group.

• Support for station equations.

Slope Control Editor:

• Up/Down arrows removed from slope/width input boxes.

• Expanded value input range for slope/width. Previously was limited to 0-100.

• Resolved issue when using the station select button, the command would remain active after a station has been selected.

• Support for Station Equations.

• Support for negative station and slope/width entries.

• Select profile view style menu now sorts available styles alphabetically.

• Can now multi-select profiles in the remove profiles dialogue.

• Can now multi-select profile views in the remove profile views dialog.

Swap Parts:

• All drop-down menus are not sorted alphabetically.

• Description column added in the selected parts table.

• Selection table now stretches with palette.

• "Ok" button renamed to "Swap".

• After swapping, the selection table now clears.

New custom tool added.

Added a Convert Layer Colors tool to the WisDOT ribbon.

Modified WisDOT ribbon tabs to better accommodate new tools by dividing the Support & Manage panel into two separate panels, a Support panel and a Manage panel.

Cross Section grid line weights are not consistent, and some print too dark.

Modified Group Plot styles, Profile View styles and layer E_Prof_Grid to conform to WisDOT standards.

LnExtendBase subassembly parameters are out of order.

Default sample lines do not include a station label.

Modify the sample line label style "WisDOT Standard" to include station information in the label.

US Survey Feet property was added to the Insert Units variable in versions after AutoCAD 2017. Greater care must be given to make sure unit consistency is maintained, especially when migrating DWGs created prior to the 2017 version.

Added the drawing's unit and coordinate information to the bottom tool menu. This information will update each time a drawing is saved or opened.

Superelevation high shoulder default setting

Settings tab > Alignment > right-click "Edit Feature Settings..." > Superelevation Options

"Outside Edge Shoulder Treatment - High Side" = Change from "Default slopes" to "Match lane slopes".

"Inside Median Shoulder" - High Side" = Change from "Default slopes" to "Match lane slopes".

Previous update removed needed Setup Assemblies.

The Setup-Curb-Prof assembly was added back into the WisDOT-Setup Assemblies palette.

The P_ASMBL-Base and P_ALI-Base layers are missing in the WisDOT *.las files.

Add layers to relevant layer states files, master layers file, and Begin-dwg\design-wisdot18.dwt template.

Request all Culvert Point Styles use culvert arc symbol.

Edit Culvert Point Styles to use AutoCAD block "CULV". Added rotation parameter to "CULV" block as a convenience.

The static size markers and link labels for assemblies is too small.

Modify the marker and link {Text Height} expressions to be a height of 0.5.

Arrowheads are too large in some Dimension styles and Multileader styles.

Edited Dimension styles and Multileader styles to have uniform size arrowheads. (060 = 0.08, 070 = 0.10, 100 = 0.10)

The current contour lineweights do not display enough difference to identify as either Major or Minor.

Change the lineweight of the P_MAP_ContoursIndex and E_MAP_ContoursIndex layers to 0.014 inches and P_MAP_ContoursInter and E_MAP_ContoursInter layers to 0.004 inches

The CGBasic subassembly is missing a profile target for terrace width.

Added a profile target for terrace width option in the CGBasic subassembly.

WisDOT assemblies were not updated to include most recent updates to the CutFillProfileControlled, DaylightProfileControlled, and CGBasic subassemblies.

Updated all WisDOT assemblies to include the latest subassembly updates.

Dimension styles & Multileader styles in construction details sheet template & typical section speed sheet templates are not the latest versions.

Purged and replaced Dimension styles & Multileader styles with the most current versions.

Speed Sheet templates contain unnecessary annotation scales.

Removed extra annotation scales from Speed Sheet templates and only included scales used on WisDOT plan sheets.

"Station Offset – RT Justified" alignment label includes "Surface Elevation" text in error.

Delete "Surface Elevation" text from label style.

Transitioned customization process from SharePoint to a WisDOT Civil 3D Futures board on Trello.

Changed code for the button that linked to the Customization Request location on SharePoint to the WisDOT Civil 3D Futures board on Trello.

No section arrow block in WisDOT Civil 3D configuration.

Created dynamic section arrow block (Section-CallOut) and added block tool to the detail palettes.

Rotated text in the typical section slope arrow blocks plots bold. This is an AutoCAD known issue.

Set text rotation to 0 for all slope arrow text as a workaround.

Signal blocks from the palette are only able to be inserted at 1 to 1 size, or property scaled during or after insertion.

Updated the blocks in signal18.dwg to be annotative and be able to be used for 1:1 situation and be able to be inserted into any model space scale.

Some F1 connections to C3DKB require path, page, or shortcut updates.

Modified WisDOT ribbons and support files to reflect correct links to C3DKB.

WisDOT has Page Setups for publishing to DWFx, but the Page Setups palette lists these as DWF. Need to distinguish between DWF and DWFx.

Rename items on DWF Page Setups palette from DWF to DWFx.

Missing DgnSetup.ini file for DGN import/export mapping.

Added missing DgnSetup.ini file.

Beam guard blocks (BGLtFoxXSections & BGRtFoxXSections) have incorrect insertion points.

Corrected the insertion point in the block definitions.

The three layout tabs in wisdot16-constr-survey.dwt were missing from the constr-survey-wisdot18.dwt template.

The three layout tabs were added to constr-survey-wisdot18.dwt.

Make information about the WisDOT Civil 3D custom configuration tools more readily available.

Added Tooltip F1 functionality to all the WisDOT ribbon items to provide direct access to the corresponding C3DKB page.

New functionality requested for the CutFillProfileControlled subassembly.

Updated the CutFillProfileControlled subassembly:

• Added the ability to intercept multiple surfaces.
• Consolidated clear zone options into two parameters that work for both cut and fill conditions, Recoverable slope and Recoverable distance.
• Added tooltip descriptions for parameters. Descriptions are available when hovering over parameters in the subassembly ACAD properties window.

New functionality requested for the DaylightProfileControlled subassembly.

Updated the DaylightProfileControlled subassembly:

• Added the ability to intercept multiple surfaces.
• The clear zone slopes can now be controlled independently on the foreslope and backslope of a ditch.
• Added new Traversable backslope parameter to control slope value of clear zone link on the outside of the ditch.
• The Recoverable foreslope parameter controls the slope value of the clear zone link inside of the ditch.
• Clear zone distance parameter is now used for both ditch and fill conditions.
• New parameter Reduced recoverable distance is used only in ditch conditions where a ditch elevation is targeted and the recoverable slope distance is reduced to less than the specified clear zone distance. A clear runout area can then be applied through the ditch using the Ditch foreslope and Traversable backslope parameters. See FDM 11-15 Attachment 1.9.
• Added tooltip descriptions for parameters. Descriptions are available when hovering over parameters in the subassembly ACAD properties window.

Curb ramp setup assemblies on the "WisDOT - Setup Assemblies" palette are no longer used with current WisDOT modeling workflows.

Retired the curb ramp setup assemblies from the "WisDOT - Setup Assemblies" palette.

Rotate Mleader, Mtext & Blocks to Vport tool has some bugs.

Fixed the Rotate Mleader, Mtext & Blocks to Vport tool to close and reset cleanly if any selection object is not found.

Set P_MISC_Text tool does not work if layer is frozen or off.

Updated the Set P_MISC_Text tool to thaw and turn on layer if necessary then set layer current.

Add a "TLE Map" sheet template to the WisDOT Civil 3D 2018 configuration.

Created a TLE Map sheet template. Added palette tool for TLE Map template to the ROW / Plat – Non-TPP palette.

Add Layer Display Order command to WisDOT ribbon tab.

Changes to the Earthwork report macro require updating the WisDOT Mass Ordinate Quantity Takeoff Criteria.

Updated the WisDOT Mass Ordinate Quantity Takeoff Criteria to include subgrade improvement.

Add new Alignment label styles and Alignment table style for Alignment segments.

Subassembly changes require Code Set Style updates. Annotation scale can make point and link code labels hard to read.

Marker Symbol blocks are used in point styles, but also as topo blocks. A fixed symbol size does not always work in all scenarios.

Symbol text is sometimes too large when compared to other text on plansets.

Marker Symbol blocks changed to annotative for non-point style use from palettes. Marker Symbol blocks updated to maintain consistent text size, and point style marker insertion sizes adjusted to maintain consistency.

One manhole symbol is used on plans regardless of type. Manhole types are hard to differentiate.

New Point Styles created and added to startup templates: E UTL Television Manhole, E UTL Telephone Manhole, E DRN Storm Sewer Manhole, E UTL Sanitary Manhole, E UTL Manhole, E UTL Electric Manhole
