Profile - Create Superelevation Profiles

Overview

The Create Superelevation Profiles command is used to create profiles of superelevation data along a selected alignment. An example use of this would be for reviewing superelevation designs in comparison to profiles of existing pavement cross slopes.

Usage

WisDOT Design tab > Design panel > Profile menu > Create Superelevation Profiles

The tool can also be accessed from the command line: DOTCREATESUPERELEVATIONPROFILES.

  • Alignment:

    • Select an alignment from the active drawing. Only alignments with superelevation are listed.

  • Build:

    • Check the box to select which superelevation profile will be created. Multiple boxes can be checked.

  • Superelevation:

    • Superelevation profiles can be created for each lane or shoulder where superelevation data has been entered or created.

  • Profile Name:

    • Names are generated automatically but can be override.

    • Naming convention: AlignmentName-Side-SE-Type. Example: 25-L-SE-OutsideLane.

  • Profile Style:

    • Default styles are applied but any available profile style can be selected.

    • Assigned layers will follow Civil Object Layer Defaults.

  • Label Set:

    • A default label set is applied to the Outside Lanes but any available label set can be selected.

OK to run the command. A message will appear after the profiles has been created or updated.
